During July, Yahoo and AOL celebrated the launch of their merge
at The Calyx within the Royal Botanic Garden.
The Verizon company, now known as ‘Oath’, promoted their exciting venture which will boost Verizon’s advertising ambitions. The Oath logo was prominently positioned on the island at the entrance to the Calyx – a formidable sight as guests entered the iconic venue.
Blue RGB up-lighting shone from The Calyx’s Iris Terrace beams adding a sophisticated element to the evening. The blue theming continued through to the blue margaritas, which the 200 guests enjoyed on-arrival whilst being treated to The Calyx’s new menu. The menu included tuna sashimi with pickled daikon and wasabi cream; smoked curried cauliflower with macerated raisins, kale and Bulgarian feta as well as coconut fried prawn with Nam Jim sauce.
The Calyx’s living exhibition ‘All About Flowers’ provided the perfect backdrop for this special event. The Calyx continues to one of Sydney’s leading venues for high-end events including product launches and gala functions. The Calyx’s new living exhibition – ‘Pollination’ – launches on Friday 15 September.
